At just over a year old, the colossal pup is already closing in on his world famous 175lb dad - and still has plenty of growing left to do.
And Kong has already built up a loyal following on social media, with fans won over by his huge frame and goofy smile.
Marlon Grennan, 31, founder of New Hampshire-based dog breeders, Dark Dynasty K9s, told Barcroft TV: “Kong is a 150lb gigantic puppy.
"I mean people are blown away by his size, you know obviously everybody wants to see if this dog is going to bigger than Hulk."
Despite his huge stature, Marlon says that Kong loves to play with the couple’s two children, Jordan, 7, and Jackson, 2, like any regular puppy.
He said: “With all the kids, he really gets along with them great. Same with Kong and Hulk, they kind of have a special relationship, they like to play with each other, roll around, just be kind of big guys together.”
DDK9s co-owner Lisa Grennan, 27, added: "Even though our dogs are big and powerful they still love attention just like any other dog, they will soak up any chance they get for belly rubs and and hugs and just loving on them."
Kong features in the final episode of season three of Barcroft TV’s hit digital show Dog Dynasty, which has racked up more than 150 million views on YouTube and Facebook Watch.
The show follows the fortunes of Hulk and the other DDK9 protection dogs, which sell for between $5000 and $25,000 and has catapulted Hulk to global superstardom, with the loveable giant having his own dog food brand and merchandise line.
In this episode Kong goes missing, prompting a frenzied search and fears for his safety.
Marlon said: "I live in a very rural area, a lot of people have guns and one of my dogs was actually shot that wandered off one time, so I just didn't want anything to happen to him.
“I think somebody left a door open and he is a bit of a wanderer.”
Kong was eventually found safe and sound hiding away in the children’s bedroom, having accidentally locked himself in - much to Marlon and Lisa’s relief.
And despite his puppyish ways, both Marlon and Lisa have no doubt that he is destined for big things in the future.
Lisa said: “Kong has got big shoes to fill with Hulk as his dad, but we expect him to be bigger than his dad, his popularity is going to just keep growing.”
Marlon added: “To think what is beyond Hulk is obviously something that I don’t enjoy thinking about, but with Kong emerging there’s no question that Hulk's legacy is safe.”
Dog Dynasty season 3 is available to watch now on the Barcroft Animals YouTube page and on Facebook Watch.
