The hulking feline is chauffeured around in his very own super-size carriage and spends his down time playing fetch - just like a dog.
The four-year-old Maine Coon breed has now reached celebrity status due to his impressive stature - and has amassed over 104,000 followers on Instagram.
Owner, DJ Jonathan Zurbel, 42, said: "l inherited him from my brother and made him a celebrity on Instagram. Now he’s a famous cat.
"I just watched his weight start to grow and grow.
"I went to the vet and she said this is the largest cat we have in the registry. I decided to claim that name and claim that throne."
The insatiable kitty eats six cans of food a day to feed his massive appetite.
And Jonathan forks out $120 worth of grooming every few months to make sure Samson always looks his best.
Jonathan said: "He’s a very gentle cat. He’s very sweet, doesn’t get angry and he's great with dogs.
"One of the funniest things he does is watching Beverly Hills Chihuahua 2 on my iPad.”
Not only has the fluffy feline made a name for himself, he also works wonders for Jonathan's love life.
Jonathan said: “He changed my love life completely. I can’t tell you how many girls want to come over and meet him.
"He’s 100% playboy and he gets me dates and admirers.
“People are shocked when they see him. People usually yell up from the street, ‘Is that a cat?’ And I hold him up and they all stare like, ‘Wow’.
“Usually when I walk him in a stroller people assume I have a kid in there.”
With a big cat comes even bigger responsibilities.
“I have to get everything bigger. I have a huge litter box for him,” said Jonathan.
“He doesn’t fit in any cat carriers and I have to get dog carriers and dog leashes.”
Now Jonathan and Samson are planning on releasing a mix tape - on which Samson helps to ‘mix’ the music.
And Jonathan hopes that Samson’s fame will encourage people to adopt rescue cats.
Jonathan said: "I like to share him with people and that’s really the goal - just get him out there.
“I want to spread pet ownership and encourage people to adopt because there’s lots of cats out there that need homes.
“Samson is priceless - I love him. To me he’s like my son. I don’t have any kids and I’ve just completely bonded with him.
"He's like a family member and I would never consider selling him.
"He’s the largest cat in New York, so I’m waiting for a challenger to step up and say they got one bigger.
"It’s gonna be tough though - he’s a big boy."
